When entering the on-line form you will be asked to create a login with a username and password. Afterwards you will receive an e-mail with your login details and submission instructions. Please read through those attached instructions on how to submit an abstract. You can only submit text, no figures or pictures will be possible to include. When you are done with your submission you will receive an e-mail confirming your contribution.

Please note before you start: The submitting author MUST be the presenting author. That is, the contact details submitted must go to the presenting author.

Abstract submission deadline

Note that in order to have your abstract printed in the abstract book we must receive your conference registration by February 28, 2014, at the latest. The abstract must be submitted by midnight, 24.00, local Swedish time, on February 7, in order to be accepted.


Abstract submission guidelines


  1. All abstracts will be reviewed by the faculty and successful applicants will be chosen based on originality and clinical applicability of the work. Abstracts will be either accepted for oral presentation, poster display or rejected.
  2. The SSHNO 2014 scientific faculty reserves the right to accept or refuse an abstract, to designate abstracts as either oral or poster presentations and to choose a suitable session for the abstract.
  3. The reviewing process will take several weeks, after which you will be notified of your abstract status. After selection, all presenting authors will be sent full details regarding the scheduling of their presentation, including the time and date as well as the format of the presentation.

Author presentation

  1. Abstracts must include the names of the presenting author, co-authors and institute.
  2. The submitting author MUST be the presenting author.
  3. The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.

Publication and writing

  1. Work must be original and not have been published or presented in any international meetings previously.
  2. Abstracts must be typed in English.
  3. Use standard abbreviations and place a special or unusual abbreviation in parenthesis after the full word appears.
  4. Write numbers as numerals rather than words.
  5. Maximum number of words allowed is 300 for the abstract text. Title of abstract is limited to 25 words.
