The Dinner will be held at the Swedish Society of Medicine – Läkaresällskapet – April 16th at 18:30
Address: Klara Östra Kyrkogata 10 in Stockholm
The Society is a scientific association with the aim to promote medical research, education, and development within the health and medical services. The society was founded in 1807 as a “book-club” for doctors as the possibilities for scientifically interested Swedes to procure information about the development in Europe were almost non-existent in the beginning of the 1900 century. The Society makes submission in response to commissions of enquiry and proposals from ministries, the Board of Health and Welfare, the Medical Product Agency and the Nordic Council. The Society distributes about 30 million SEK to Swedish medical research each year.
The premises at Klara Östra Kyrkogata 10 in Stockholm were built for the Swedish Society of Medicine and have served as a meeting place for doctors and members since 1906. Nowadays, the assembly rooms inside the building are not only used by representatives of the healthcare sector. Organisations, authorities, companies and individuals with no connections with medicine can also hire the premises for conferences and receptions.
